Andrei Iancu

Former Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property.

Iancu served as Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property from February 2018 until January 2021. During that time he was responsible for a series of reforms to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the agency’s approach to eligibility. He has also served as managing partner of law firm Irell & Manella.
