Kevin Rivette
Author of Rembrandts in the Attic, chair of the US government’s Patent Policy Advisory Committee
IP Hall of Fame inductee in 2007
Chairman of the US Patent and Trademark Office Public Patent Advisory Committee and a managing partner at 3LP Advisors, Kevin Rivette is a former patent attorney and the founder of Aurigin Systems. He was, until recently, vice president of IP strategy at IBM. Few books have had more impact on intellectual asset management than Rembrandts in the Attic, which Rivette co-authored with David Kline. The book demonstrated how corporations could leverage their IP rights in ways that would have a profound influence on revenue generation and bottom-line return, and helped bring about a revolution in the way that IP assets are viewed in corporations across the world.
Rivette has been awarded over 40 patents worldwide for his work in IP tool development. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and has been a guest lecturer at Keio, Harvard and Stanford University business schools.
